Have you thought about becoming a referee?
Are you a player who has stopped playing through injury or loss of form but want to stay part of the game?
Are you a parent or a coach looking after kids on a Sunday morning?
Are you looking for a route into the professional game?
Or do you think you could do a better job?
Then becoming a referee is for you.
Being a referee or match official is a great way to stay active and involved in the game of Rugby Union. It’s a great way to stay fit. You will also get a great deal of enjoyment from being involved in the game and it’s a great way to stay connected with the Rugby Family. You will gain a lot of respect for ensuring that games can go ahead. All involved really do appreciate the work of the Match Official (even though you will have expressed your opinion before).
We always love to hear from people who want to start with the whistle. Contact us and we will get straight back to you with details on joining the Society and how to take your refereeing forward
