Dave Charlton makes his officiating debut at HQ
Dave Charlton makes his Twickenham debut in the Papa John’s Community Trophy Final on 7 May.
Northumberland whistler Dave Charlton has had a season bookended by some great personal achievements. At the commencement of the season Dave was elevated to the National League Match Official Team. To crown that elevation Dave makes his HQ debut having been appointed to take charge of Wensleydale v Teddington in the Papa John’s Community Trophy Final.
It should prove to be a cracking game. Wensleydale have the chance of pulling off a remarkable double after winning promotion to Yorkshire Division One for the first time in their history. For Teddington this isn’t their first visit having visited Billy William’s Cabbage Patch in 2010.
Congratulations to both teams for reaching the final. Congratulations to DC on his appointment on what is a seminal moment in Dave’s whistling career.
